EFFECT OF SYNBIOTIC TREATMENT ON PERIODONTAL CONDITION AND MOLECULAR BIOMARKERS IN PATIENTS WITH CHRONIC PERIODONTITIS AGAINST THE BACKGROUND OF OBESITY AND DISBIOSIS

Purpose of the study. To study the effect of conservative treatment with probiotics on the condition of periodontal tissues and molecular biomarkers in patients with periodontitis against the background of obesity and dysbiosis. 
Material and methods. The study included 70 people of both sexes aged 45-59 years with chronic generalized periodontitis, concomitant morbid obesity and intestinal dysbacteriosis, who were divided into two groups of 35 people. In addition to standard therapy for chronic periodontitis, patients in group 1 (n=35) were prescribed a complex of live lactobacilli (Normoflorin-L, Bifilyuks, Russia) or bifidobacilli (Normoflorin-B, Bifilyuks, Russia) or lacto- and bifidobacilli (Normoflorin-D, Bifilyuks, Russia) with a prebiotic (lactate) and metabiotics (vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and organic acids). Group 2 patients (n=35) received standard periodontal therapy: removal of microbial plaque and dental mineralized deposits.
