On the basis of the analysis of the domestic literature, and also life, professional activity and scientific labors of the candidate of medical sciences, associate professor, colonel of the medical service D.E. Tanfilyev to present his role in the development of the domestic stomatology and military medicine in Russia.
The information about the life of the military dentist D.E. Tanfiliev, the candidate of medical sciences, associate professor, colonel of the medical service is represented. His activity during the Soviet-Finnish (winter) and the Great Patriotic War is marked. The main directions of his scientific activity in the issues of the development and improvement of the techniques of tooth extraction, treatment of difficult wisdom teeth eruption, odontogenic maxillary sinusitis, gunshot fractures and osteomyelitis of the upper jaw are examined. It is shown, that D.E. Tanfiliev has specified the function of the maxillary sinuses and physiological significance of its walls, described an age and functional rearrangement of the maxillary sinus bone tissue under the maxillary sinus floor and its significance for direct prosthesis. Received by D.E. Tanfiliev the information about age anatomy of maxillary sinuses is important for the practicing dentist, not only for facilitating diagnostics and therapy of this or that pathology, but also for knowing the genesis of old age and struggle for prolongation of active longevity. It is no coincidence that today special importance is given to dental rehabilitation of patients with severe atrophy of the alveolar processes and jaw parts using dentures on artificial supports He has improved the therapy of maxillary sinusitis in connection with the age-related features of the maxillary sinus structure and the types of bone structure of the upper jaw. He paid special attention to the clinical picture and treatment of concomitant gunshot injuries of the upper jaw.
It is underlined that D.E. Tanfiliev was one of the pioneers of the national military stomatology.
На страницах памяти отечественных стоматологов и челюстно-лицевых хирургов нельзя не вспомнить выдающегося ученого и клинициста, кандидата медицинских наук, доцента, полковника медицинской службы Давида Евсеевича Танфильева. В статье освещается научная, клиническая, педагогическая и общественная деятельность этого видного военного стоматолога и челюстно-лицевого хирурга. На основании анализа отечественной литературы, а также биографии, профессиональной деятельности и научных трудов Д.Е. Танфильева показана его роль в развитии отечественной стоматологии и военной медицины. Отмечена его деятельность в период Советско-финляндской (зимней) и Великой Отечественной войн. Рассматриваются основные направления его научной деятельности в вопросах разработки и усовершенствования методик удаления зуба, лечения затрудненного прорезывания зубов мудрости, одонтогенных верхнечелюстных синуситов, огнестрельных переломов и остеомиелитов верхней челюсти. Показано, что Д.Е. Танфильев уточнил функцию верхнечелюстных пазух и физиологическое значение их стенок, описал возрастную и функциональную перестройку костной ткани верхней челюсти под дном верхнечелюстной пазухи, а также ее значение для непосредственного протезирования. Полученные Д.Е. Танфильевым сведения о возрастной анатомии верхнечелюстных пазух важны для практикующего стоматолога не только для облегчения диагностики и терапии той или иной патологии, но и познания генеза старости и борьбы за продление активного долголетия. Не случайно особое значение сегодня придается стоматологической реабилитации пациентов с выраженной атрофией альвеолярных отростков и частей челюстей с применением зубных протезов на искусственных опорах. Ученым была усовершенствована терапия верхнечелюстных синуситов в связи с возрастными особенностями строения верхнечелюстных пазух и типами костной структуры верхней челюсти. Особое внимание он уделил клинической картине и лечению сочетанных огнестрельных повреждений верхней челюсти. В работе подчеркивается, что Д.Е. Танфильев был одним из пионеров отечественной военной стоматологии.
