Substantiation of shear bond strength of the fluid and condensable composites Esterfill Ca/F to primary teeth enamel and dentine in vitro
Abstract
The aim of the study was to evaluate the shear bond strength of the restorative material Esterfill Ca/F to the enamel and dentine of primary teeth. The study was carried out on 60 extracted primary molars using ISO TECHNICAL REPORT technique (Dental materials - Guidance on Adhesion to Tooth Structure). According to the results, Esterfill Ca/F possesses direct adhesion to dental hard tissues. The advantage of the application of a two-stage technique (etching - composite) of restoration fluid and composite materials Esterfill Ca/F is substantiated.

Diagnostics and prognostication of regional osteoporosis of the jaw after porous titanium nickelide implantation
Abstract
The mineral density of the bone tissue in the periimplant zone after endoosseous implantation of porous titanium nick-elide was measured by X-ray fluorescence assay with synchrotron radiation. Ca/P coefficient, the value of which makes it possible to diagnose and predict regional osteoporosis as well as consistence and long-term results of implantation, was used for the first time. The results of the study can be applied to clinical practice to determine the order of control evaluation of patients and to administer pathogenetically substantiated medication.

Disturbances in glycosaminoglycan synthesis in experimental fluorosis, and ways of their correction
Abstract
In rats with experimental fluorosis, radioactive indication found a decrease in glycosaminoglycan synthesis in calcif- icated dental and bone tissues, as well as in the liver, kidneys, and salivary glands. Experimental therapy with car- boxyline or a complex of preparations (carboxyline, biotrit C, vitamins D and K, glutamic acid, and iodine) eliminated the clinical manifestations of dental fluorosis, and normalized glycosaminoglycan synthesis in calcificated soft tissues.

An experimental study of the durability properties of a new composite material used in dental implantology
Abstract
The authors developed a composite material and an implant construction produced of it, Khasanov 's implant (RF patent #2271172), to replace a denture defect immediately after removal of a destroyed tooth. The physico-chemical characteristics of the offered composite material were studied experimentally; analysis of its biomechanical compatibility with dental dentine was carried out.

The condition of oral cavity local immunity in patients with chronic active hepatitis
Abstract
The authors studied the condition of the salivary glands and local immunity in 50 patients with chronic active hepatitis in a state of alcohol intoxication. The results of a complex examination demonstrated a significant decrease in the secretory activity of the greater and smaller salivary glands, an increase in salivary viscosity, and the presence of sialodenosis (38%). A high proportion of lesions in the oral mucosa (54%), including stomatitis, leukoplakia, candi- dosis, and geographic tongue, was found. These changes were detected together with significant disturbances in local oral cavity immunity.

Contemporary peculiarities of the clinical picture, diagnostics, and treatment of children with combined craniofacial injuries
Abstract
The author analyzes the 10-year experience in the treatment of 124 children with combined craniofacial injuries. The article contains algorithms of examination and treatment of such patients and the substantiation of surgical methods to manage the maxillofacial component of craniofacial injury in children.

THE ROLE OF DISTURBANCES IN THE FUNCTIONAL ACTIVITY OF THROMBOCYTES IN THE PATHOGENESIS OF MICROCIRCULATION DISORDERS IN PATIENTS WITH CATARRHAL GINGIVITIS
Abstract
Patients with chronic generalized catarrhal gingivitis were examined; the examination revealed disturbances in the microcirculatory mechanism ofhemostasis due to increased aggregation ability of thrombocytes manifesting by an in- crease in the maximum speed and degree of their aggregation without changes in the adhesive properties of platelets. Exacerbation of chronic catarrhal gingivitis augments the changes in these variables.

Dental replacement in patients without upper front teeth carried out with the angle of palatal vault inclination taken into account
Abstract
The authors developed a special device (atent #53141 for useful model) to receive objective data and reveal relationship between palatal vault configuration and the angle of inclination of the front teeth's palatal facets. The method offered by the authors can be used to measure the angle of inclination of the front part of the palatal vault and the angles of inclination of the palatal surfaces of the front teeth on plaster models of jaws for the production of dental prostheses.

Comparison of the efficacy of different methods to administer mexidol during treatment of periodontitis controlled by a new objective method to estimate the condition of the periodontium
Abstract
The authors suggest a new coefficient between salival malondialdehyde content and superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity during treatment of periodontitis with mexidol. This new objective coefficient may be used to estimate a decrease or increase in the balance between free radical oxidation and the antioxidant syatem. Intramascular administration of mexidol is better than its local or oral application for treatment of periodontitis.

The dynamics of the state of blood plasma antioxidative activity in patients with maxillofacial odontogenic phlegmons undergoing complex treatment
Abstract
The aim of the investigation was to study the effectiveness of combined use of non-direct electrochemical blood oxidation with sodium hypochlorite solution, rexode, and reamberin for the correction of blood plasma antioxidative activity during the treatment of patients with maxillofacial phlegmons. The study showed that the inclusion of these preparations in the basic therapy has a prominent normalizing effect on blood plasma anti-oxidative activity compared to the use of each of the preparation alone.
