Evaluation parameters of the crack-degree of side teeth subject to subsequent recovery
Abstract
Cracked side teeth were subject to clinical and X-Ray examinations in 300 patients. Main parameters are suggested for evaluating the cracked teeth and their roots for the purpose of their subsequent preservation and recovery by a single crown or by using such tooth as an abutment in dental bridge prosthesis; should it be impossible, teeth and their roots are extracted with defects being subsequently restored by using different orthopedic constructions. The study results denote that cracked teeth and their roots need no extraction in above 70% of cases and can be used for prosthesis by different fixed constructions.

The functional state of the acoustic structures in patients with a partial lack of teeth concurrent with a descended inferior facial region and with a distal displacement of the mandibula
Abstract
Hearing was objectively tested, before and after orthopedic rehabilitation procedures, in 32 patients (females - 22, males - 10), aged 30 to 60, -with a partial lack of teeth concurrent with a descended inferior facial region and a distal displacement of the mandibula. Essential impairments were observed in the functions of the peripheral and stem acoustic structures in cases of the above described defects. The treatment results of patients with a descended inferior facial region and a distal displacement of the mandibula are suggestive of that rehabilitation measures and a rational pros- thesis of patients in the constructive bite contribute to normalizing the function of the peripheral acoustic structures.

The specificity of morphology and the condition of parietal microorganisms of the mouth mucous tunic in patients with hypertension
Abstract
The conducted morphological and microbiological examinations showed that the mouth mucous tunic endures a variety of pathological changes, e.g. impaired microcirculation in vessels, presence of atrophic processes in the mucous tunic of the prosthetic bed, a higher count of pathological erythrocytes on the surface of the mouth mucous tunic as well as increased pathogenic and decreased anaerobic flora. After medication therapy and a rational dental prosthesis the condition of the mucous tunic of the prosthetic bed as well as of the mouth microflora improve

Influence of age and of the saccharose cariogenic diet on metabolism of the total and protein-binding selenium in the kidneys and heart of rats
Abstract
The dynamics of metabolism and distribution of the total and protein-binding Se were compared after intra-abdominal injections of fsSejselenate in 1-month and 3-month rats who received routine vivarium food or saccharose food during the last 2 months. In case of standard food, the inclusion percentage, specific activity (SA) and suggested-by-us factors RAR (ratio of radioactivity in 1 g of tissue to administered one per 1 g of body weight) and SAR (ratio of SA of 1 g of tissue protein to SA of 1 g of blood protein) were higher in the kidneys and blood versus the heart. RAR and SAR were found to be more often higher in standard nutrition versus the sacchrose diet. There was one rise of percentage inclusion and of SA with a drop at the experiment end; and there were two rises by hours 3-4 and 24-48 with the first drop observed in the interval between them and with the second drop registered by hour 192, which is explained by sorption, desorption and chemical bonds of Se-containing compounds with proteins. RAR and SAR characterize an intensity of the marker metabolism and prevalence of its direct or inverse transport between blood and an organ. The marker is discharged from organs of small rats versus adult rats.

The use of the "Prepometr DTM-800" device for the purpose of preventing complications in hard tooth tissues prepared for fixed dental prosthesis
Abstract
The available techniques of monitoring the depth of preparations of hard tooth tissues as made for fixed dental prosthesis are elucidated in the paper. The data of hemodynamic examinations in preparations of hard tooth tissues for vinyl with intraseptal anesthesia by cytocartinone-100 are analyzed. It is suggested to use the method of measuring the electric impedance by the "DTM-800" device in order to limit the preparation depth

The use of computer tomography at planning stages prior to subperiosteal implantation
Abstract
The authors described a clinical observation of a patient with sialolithiasis, in whom the concrement was localized in the submandibular lumen diverticulum. The above anomaly of the defect development is rare enough and a majority of practitioners are hardly familiar with it. The authors believe that the diverticulum of the submandibular lumen is a variation of its ectasia and can be referred to as an independent disease
