详细

Quality control of dental materials surface in orthopedic dentistry remains a relevant section of dentistry, since reducing the number of changes in the microrelief of orthopedic structures allows to reduce microbial adhesion in the oral cavity and thereby prevent the development of inflammatory diseases. The aim of our study is to study the surface quality of thermoplastic and acrylic polymers after final processing in a comparative aspect at the micro level using a scanning electron microscope. Materials and methods: the study was carried out at the First Moscow State Medical University named after I.M. Sechenov on a Tescan Vega 3SB scanning electron microscope with a 10mm2 SDD Detector - X-Act energy dispersive analyzer using samples of modern polymeric materials - 4 materials, 4 samples each were examined after surface polishing and its visual macroassessment. Results: the smallest number of defects in the form of roughness and inclusions were found on the surface of the thermoplastic polymer polyetheretherketone "Dentokeep Peek", especially in the polished sample, the largest in the form of roughness, delamination of the surface layer - in acrylic polymers. Conclusion: taking into account the good microrelief indicators of polished samples of thermoplastic materials, they can be recommended for priority use in relation to acrylic.
