Were conducted comparative tests of corrosion properties in artificial saliva precious metal alloys based on gold for metal-ceramic dentures Plagodent-plus, Plagodent (both of JSC «“SUPERMETALL” name E.I. Rytvin») and VitIriy (LLC «Medical company “Vital EBB”»). Tests included voltammetry and XRF analysis, showed that the alloy Plagodent-plus has a higher level of corrosion resistance compared with alloys Plagodent and VitIriy.

The article deals with the penetration of the adhesive in the dentinal tubules, depending on the method and algorithm of the bacterial treatment of the total etching using scanning electron microscopy. Epidemiological dental surveys according to the World Health Organization (WHO) criteria are made regularly in many countries around the world. The aim of this survey was to study the prevalence and intensity of dental caries among two key age groups of the adult urban population (35–44 years and 65 years and older) in dependence on their gender, educational level and smoking. The present survey showed high levels of the prevalence and intensity of dental caries in both age groups, the intensity of caries and number of missing teeth increased with age. The highest levels of DMFT index was found among women, low-educated participants and current smokers. The results of this survey are necessary to determine the value of real therapeutic and preventive dental treatment needs of the adult urban population and for long-term planning of dental treatment in Saratov region.
