Abstract

The aim was to study gender-specific impact of combined treatment with EHF-therapy on rheological properties of blood in patients with chronic generalized periodontitis (CGP) mild to moderate severity and dentoalveolar anomalies and deformations. Material and Methods: We studied 80 patients (43.8% male) with CGP and dentoalveolar anomalies and deformations aged 42 ± 5 years. 41 patients (43.9% male) have mild severity of CGP, and 39 patients (43.6% male) have moderate severity. 40 healthy adults (50% male), aged 31 ± 7 years, were studied also. We evaluated dynamics of plasma viscosity, and rheological features of erythrocytes and platelets (aggregation and deformability) under combined treatment with EHF-therapy. Results and Conclusion: In patients with moderate severity CGP, combined treatment with using EHF-waves over CGP restore disturbances in blood viscosity and rheological properties of erythrocytes and platelets (aggregation and deformability). In women, therapy accompanied by full restoration of blood rheology, but this effect was partial in men. In patients with mild CGP, treatment had no significant effect on the rheological properties of blood.

Experience with the drug grandaxinum during orthopedic rehabilitation dental patients with breach of psychological services

Lapina N.V., Skorikova L.A., Seferyan K.G., Starchenko T.P.

Abstract

Fear of dental intervention has forced many patients to delay orthopaedic treatment for a long time, led to deformation of the teeth and jaws. Faced with this problem in clinic ofprosthetic dentistry, we found it necessary to consider the effectiveness of day-time tranquilizer “Grandaxinum” as a monotherapy in patients with psycho-emotional disorders and partial absence of teeth. A comparative analysis conducted in 70 patients (2 groups of 35 people) with impaired psycho-emotional sphere and partial dentition defects to be filled by non-removable dentures, we confirmed that the drug “ Grandaxinum “ helps to avoid negative impacts in dental procedures and in adaptation to orthopedic structures.

Prokhodnaya V.A., Gayvoronskaya T.V., Maksyukov S.Y., Surmeneva S.O., Lomova A.S., Chibichjan E.K.

Abstract

The objective was to identify trends in the incidence of dental caries among pregnant women for 2000 - 2013 on the example of the Rostov region, to examine the course-for the disease and to determine prognostic factors for an unfavorable course of dental caries during pregnancy. In the first phase of the study the prevalence of dental caries was studied among 890 pregnant women for the period 2003 - 2013 in Rostov region. At the second stage in the clinical group of 207pregnant women with dental caries consistently in all 3 trimeter pregnancy by ELISA determined the concentration in ro-quantum fluid of three antimicrobial peptides (AMP) - lactoferrin, cathelicidin LL-37 and a-defensin, and then assessed the causal relationship between the level ofpeptides and for dental caries. In 2003 to 2013 trend 10-year dynamics ofprevalence of dental caries among pregnant women was characterized by a steady increase in the frequency of the disease (from 90.7% in 2003 to 98% in 2013) and the annual increase in the frequency of recurrent caries. With the recurrence of dental caries in pregnant women involves reducing the secretion of ILA cathelicidin LL-37 and a-defensins. Definition of risk groups among pregnant women in relation to recurrent course of dental caries is one of the optimization methods of monitoring the women of this ka-categories with dental diseases.

System of rational choice orthotic treatment of color changes of dental hard tissues

Shakhbazov O.I., Maksyukov S.Y., Kraynyukhova L.A., Ivanov A.S., Demidova A.A., Maksyukova E.S.

Abstract

Objective: to develop a system of rational choice orthopedic treatment change the color of the hard tissues of the tooth. Materials and methods. Examined 82 patients with discoloring teeth. The condition of the enamel of the teeth was assessed by determining the index of remineralization (IL), test enamel resistance (TER), a comprehensive index ofdifferential sensitivity of the teeth (KIDS), was determined by the content of calcium and phosphorus in the mixed estimula-trated saliva and acid biopsy. Developed algorithm for the optimization of the therapeutic aspects of discoloration teeth with prosthetic. Results. When comparing the results of the test enamel resistance and parameters of the acid solubility of enamel were distinguished five types of solubility and mineralization of tooth enamel. Patients with a high mineral content in surface-STN enamel layer and the low solubility of enamel belong to the group of high-risk low effectiveness of teeth whitening. Conclusion: Simultaneous test enamel resistance and the definition of with-holding of minerals in the saliva and acid biopsy enamel allows you to select the tools-tov, which due to the high risk of low efficiency of teeth whitening shown reconstructive orthopedic treatment.

Histopathology of alveolus dentalis floor tissues and correlations between some morphometric and clinical indices in patients with oro-antral communication

Malanchuk V.A., Grigorovsky V.V., Keyan D.N.

Abstract

The purpose of the present clinical-morphological research was tofindfeatures ofpathological changes in bony and soft tissues of oro-anthral communication area (OAC), to determine frequency of their occurence and correlations between morphological indices and clinical data. As research material have served resected tissue fragments from 41 patients with chronic odontogenic sinusitis with OAC-presence after maxillary molar and premolar teeths removal. After the study of histological features reflecting of OAC-area tissues condition, some gradual parameters of pathological tissue changes, certain grade occurrence frequency, correlations between some morphological indices and between morphological indices and clinical data were estimated. The basic pathological changes in tissues of OAC-area are associated with unspecific productive and exudative inflammation persistence, local disturbancies of blood supply, reparative osteogenesis and alveolar bone tissue remodelling. The intensity and separate gradation occurrence frequency of these changes vary and are differently combined in certain cases. Among morphological indices the strongest correlations on association coefficient values find out pairs: "bone regenerate structure” and "osteonecroses” (positive correlation), and also - "inflammation activity” and "inflammation topography” (negative correlation). Among pairs of clinical and morphological indices the strongest and significant correlations are found between "prescription of OAC formation” - on the one hand, "regenerates structure” and "inflammation activity” - on the other hand (correlationspositive, moderate strength), and also between clinical "maxillary sinus condition assessment” and "inflammation activity” (correlation positive, close to the range of moderate strength).

Systematic review: the examination of the cytotoxicity of the base materials

Kalinin A.L., Mitrofanov E.A., Voronov I.A., Voronov A.P., Kadzhaeva F.T.

Abstract

Basic materials dentures can cause chemical irritation and allergic reactions when communicating with theoral cavity. The overview shows that all the polymers of acrylic origin exhibit cytotoxicity in varying degrees, regardless of the type of polymerization, although with some degree of reliability can be mentioned lower cytotoxicity thermoset materials in comparison with other type ofactivated polymers. Use in the manufacture ofprostheses solid lining materials leads to increased cytotoxicity. This leads us to the conclusion that reducing the side effects ofPMMA prostheses necessary to search for new ways to restrict the inflow discharge of substances into the oral cavity. The perspective in this case is the development ofprotective coatings. Among those highlights we have developed recently a coating of silicon carbide "Shell”, which in addition to barrier properties relative to the leaching of substances from acrylic plastic a number of additional benefits: high chemical inertness and resistance to biodegradation, homogeneity, durability, mechanical strength and good adhesion to a range of materials at high temperatures.
